Wholesale Markets in Pakistan: The City-by-City Sourcing Guide for Online Sellers (2026)

If you sell online in Pakistan, your margin is decided long before you ever run an ad — it’s decided by where you source. This is a practical, city-by-city guide to the wholesale markets in Pakistan: what each city actually sells, a product-to-city cheat-sheet, and a repeatable method to find and verify genuine suppliers without getting scammed.

We deliberately don’t hand you a list of strangers’ phone numbers. Random numbers off the internet go stale, get you scammed, or belong to people who never agreed to be contacted. What lasts is knowing where each product category is wholesaled, how to reach real suppliers in those hubs, and how to verify them before you pay a single rupee.

How to use this guide

Pick your product first, use the category cheat-sheet to find the two or three cities that dominate it, then work the “find real suppliers” method inside those hubs. Verify every contact before any payment, start with a small test order, then scale. If you’re building a cash-on-delivery store, pair this with our guide on keeping RTO under 15% — sourcing and returns are the two numbers that make or break COD.

Wholesale markets in Pakistan, city by city

Karachi — the national import & general-goods gateway

Pakistan’s biggest port city and the first stop for most imported goods, so pricing on electronics, cosmetics, toys, plastics and general merchandise is often lowest here.

Market Best known for
Boulton Market (M.A. Jinnah Rd, Kharadar) often spelled “Bolton” Plastics, household & kitchen accessories, clothing, imitation jewellery, electronics, general merchandise
Jodia Bazaar (old city, near Kharadar) Groceries, spices, dry fruits, chemicals, hardware, general commodities — one of the oldest wholesale bazaars, known as the “price controller”
Rainbow Centre (Saddar) Electronics, media, mobile & computer accessories
Shershah Auto parts, spares, machinery, scrap-derived hardware
Zainab Market (Saddar) retail/bargain, not true wholesale Export-surplus (leftover-lot) garments, denim, jackets — great for small test buys; for real garment wholesale go to Faisalabad or Lahore
Paper Market (Shahrah-e-Liaquat) Wedding cards, stationery, banners, printing supplies

Lahore — fashion, fabric & the electronics of the north

Market Best known for
Azam Cloth Market (Delhi Gate) Fabrics — stitched & unstitched; widely cited as one of the largest cloth markets in the region
Shah Alam Market (Circular Rd) Toys, cosmetics, kitchenware, plastics, garments, general goods — the go-to all-rounder for resellers
Hall Road Electronics, mobile phones & accessories
Hafeez Centre (Gulberg) Laptops, computers, mobiles & tech accessories — widely regarded as Pakistan’s largest tech market

Ichra Bazaar Liberty nearby is mostly retail Budget women’s apparel, fabrics & accessories at reseller rates

Faisalabad — “the Manchester of Pakistan”

The textile manufacturing capital. If you sell fabric, bedsheets, towels or ready-made garments, buying closer to the mills here beats buying through a Karachi or Lahore middleman.

Market / hub Best known for
Rail Bazaar / Jhang Bazaar Fabric, ready-made garments, home textiles
Mill outlets & industrial estates Bedsheets, towels, hosiery, greige & finished cloth direct from manufacturers

Rawalpindi & Islamabad — budget fashion & footwear for the north

Raja Bazaar / Moti Bazaar (Rawalpindi) Affordable apparel, fabric, artificial jewellery, cosmetics, household goods
Bara Market (Rawalpindi) Footwear and imported goods (some grey-market — confirm customs/legality before bulk-buying to resell)
Sunday/Juma bazaars & sector markazes (Islamabad) Mixed fashion, fabric, footwear at reseller prices

Sialkot — sports goods, surgical instruments & leather

A world export hub. If your niche is sportswear, gym and fitness gear, gloves, footballs, leather goods or surgical and beauty instruments, this is the source city.

Gujranwala — home appliances, ceramics & kitchenware

Strong for electric fans, small home appliances, sanitary and ceramic ware, stainless-steel cookware, cutlery and kitchenware. Neighbouring Gujrat is the twin hub for fans, furniture and ceramics/pottery.

Multan, Peshawar & Hyderabad — regional specialities

City Best known for
Multan (Hussain Agahi, Mumtazabad Cloth Market) Handcrafted textiles, blue pottery, khussa footwear, traditional embroidery, dry fruits
Peshawar (Karkhano, Shafi Market) Imported goods, ethnic & embroidered clothing, shawls, cosmetics, chappals

How to find real, individual suppliers in these hubs

This is the part that replaces a stale contact list. Work these five channels inside your target city and market, and you’ll build your own verified supplier book — one that stays current because you sourced it yourself.

  1. B2B marketplaces. Search your product on Pakistani B2B platforms and filter by city (Alahdeen, Shalmee, TradeKey, Pakbiz), plus OLX and Facebook Marketplace “wholesale” listings. Message eight to ten sellers, not one.
  2. Facebook & WhatsApp wholesale groups. Search Facebook for “[product] wholesale Pakistan”, “Shah Alam wholesale”, “[city] resellers”. Watch who posts real stock videos consistently, then message those sellers.
  3. Instagram & TikTok hashtags. Suppliers now sell openly on reels. Search #wholesalepakistan #shahalammarket #faisalabadwholesale #sialkotsports. Serious suppliers post daily stock and a business number in bio.
  4. A physical market visit. One day in Shah Alam, Boulton or Azam Cloth is worth a hundred DMs — you see real stock, real prices, and collect verified visiting cards from shops that actually exist.
  5. Trade expos & chambers of commerce. Sialkot, Faisalabad and Karachi chambers run exhibitions; exhibitor lists are public and every contact there is a registered business.

Verify → Test → Scale (never skip this)

Every new supplier — no matter where you found them — passes through the same three gates before they get real money.

1 · Verify identity & business

  • Ask for shop name, market, city and a live location pin
  • Request a live stock video (they say your name + today’s date on camera)
  • Check the company or CNIC on SECP and FBR (IRIS / Active Taxpayer List) where applicable
  • Confirm the bank / JazzCash / Easypaisa account title matches the person you’re talking to

2 · Test with a small order

  • Place one small paid test order before any bulk commitment
  • Keep every receipt, chat, and an unboxing video as evidence
  • Judge them on quality, packing, and whether they hit the promised dispatch time

3 · Scale slowly

  • Increase order size only after two or three clean deliveries
  • Never wire a large advance to a supplier you haven’t received from yet
  • Keep a backup supplier in a second city so one stockout can’t kill your store
Stop or delay payment if… they refuse a live stock video, rush you with “last piece / price going up today”, the account title doesn’t match, they only accept full advance to a personal account, the price is far below every other quote, or they get aggressive when you ask normal verification questions. Any one of these = walk away.
Official verification tools (free): SECP company search (registered companies), FBR IRIS & Active Taxpayer List (ATL) to check tax status, and the NCCIA cyber-crime helpline 1799 (launched 2025) for guidance if you’re defrauded — a formal complaint is filed online at complaint.nccia.gov.pk; the phone line is for help, not filing. These take two minutes and can save lakhs.

Sourcing is step one — traffic is step two

A great supplier only matters if you can sell the product profitably. Once your sourcing is locked, the next levers are paying for ads cleanly and scaling without burning budget. Start with how to pay for Meta Ads from Pakistan, then work through the Meta & TikTok scaling checklist once your first products are moving.
